What does the market look like right now?
Across the DC Metro region within RLAH @properties, the average home going under contract received 2 offers this week, and 38% of new contracts had multiple offers.
Three quick takeaways from this week’s data:
1. Multiple offers were common.
38% of new contracts involved multiple offers, meaning more than a third of homes that went under contract had competing buyers.
2. Most homes still sell at or above asking price.
33% sold above list and 48% sold at list. That means 81% closed at or above the asking price.
3. Inspections are still part of most deals.
While some buyers waive inspections to compete, most contracts still include either a full inspection or a pre-inspection.
What it means:
Across the DC Metro market within RLAH @properties, demand remains healthy heading into the spring market. Buyers still have options, but well-priced homes continue to attract strong interest.
