King Farm is an approximately 450-acre mixed-use community in Rockville built on a former dairy farm. Developed by King Farm Associates, LLC and designed by Torti Gallas and Partners, construction began in 1996 with sales starting in 1997. In 2001, King Farm received a Charter Award from the Congress for the New Urbanism.
The community includes 395 single-family homes, 1,021 townhomes, 869 condominiums, and 1,044 apartments — 3,329 total units offering a range of housing options within a walkable, pedestrian-friendly layout.
