About the Home
4 Bedrooms | 2.5 Bathrooms | 2,512 SF | $1,050,000
This classic Colonial has been lovingly cared for by its original owner since it was built. You’ll notice it the moment you pull up. The lot is gorgeous, level and green with mature Bradford pear trees, flowering cherries, and azaleas in full bloom right now.
Inside, the hardwood floors run throughout both levels. The family room is really the standout, with a full-wall brick fireplace and exposed wood ceiling beams that give it real warmth and character. The formal living room and dining room have crown molding and chair rail detail, and the flow between spaces works well for entertaining.
The kitchen has maple cabinetry with soft-close drawers, Corian countertops, a stone tile backsplash, and stainless steel appliances. A big window over the sink lets in great natural light, and the sliding glass doors open right out to a brick patio and the flat backyard.
Upstairs you’ve got four bedrooms, all with hardwood floors and ceiling fans. The primary suite has a sitting area and an en-suite bath with a glass-enclosed shower. Downstairs, the finished lower level has luxury vinyl plank flooring and recessed lighting, so it’s ready to go as a rec room, home gym, or office.
Why Fox Hills West
I talk about Fox Hills West a lot, and for good reason. It’s a community of 552 homes built by Pulte between 1968 and 1973, and it has held up remarkably well. The neighborhood has an active citizens association, and residents genuinely look out for each other here.
The recreation is a big part of what makes this neighborhood special. You’ve got the 2.2-acre Fox Hills West Neighborhood Park right in the community with a playground, basketball court, tennis court, and gazebo. Falls Road Local Park is a quick walk away, and community trails wind through the neighborhood and along Watts Branch Park. It’s the kind of place where you see your neighbors out walking, kids riding bikes, people actually using the parks.
The schools are zoned for Cold Spring Elementary, Herbert Hoover Middle School, and Winston Churchill High School beginning in the 2027–2028 school year. And you’re just minutes from Potomac Village, Cabin John Village, and Park Potomac for shopping and dining. Founding Farmers, King Street Oyster Bar, Boulangerie Christophe, Harris Teeter, all right there. I-270 access is easy, and you’re close to Great Falls, the C&O Canal, and Glenstone Museum.
